<Does a happy dance>
I finally finished Wiz.. with 2 days to spare! I need to wash it and frame it but I think I can just about do that in the time left.
Wanna see? Of course you do :)
10,400 stitches, measuring approx 4 x 4 inches.
I plan on putting it in a square frame I bought specially for the occasion - one of those box type ones that adds depth. I have a framing plan so next post I will put a pic of it framed up on.
In other news... remember this? Aillidh
Sadly Aillidh passed away from complications post bone marrow transplant. She developed a lung infection and a pneumothorax and departed this world last Saturday 7/7/2012. RIP little one. Your spirit lives on. The legacy you left behind encouraging people to sign up for the registry lives on.
Til the next page finish... Avarice calls....
First of all it's sad to hear about Aillidh, so was much to young to fade from this world, but I am sure she will be loved and remembered!
ReplyDeleteYou made a wonderful finish and I am looking forward to see it framed =)
Congratulations on your wonderful finish! What a fantastic gift you made!
ReplyDeleteI am so sad to hear about Aillidh, when it is a child it is so difficult. We have a child in church looking for a kidney, she had her grandfathers but it has now failed. Your cross stitch is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful work! Congratulation!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm very sad about Aillidh - it's so pity that the children sometimes leave us so young...
Congratulations on a gorgeous finish. So sad to hear about Aillidh.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Ailidh but that's a beautiful finish.... maybe you should dedicate the finish to her, you know, to celebrate her final journey along the yellow brick road to heaven. I hope you understand what I mean, may sound cheesy but it's the sentiment I guess.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, congratulations on the finish.
